For many reasons i preferred AMD cpu its lot of cheap than Intel cpu with same performance.

AMD cpu Rocks also if u dun have enuf money to buy a new amd u can try over-clock ur cpu

AMD Athlon X2 6000 u can overclock like hell

There is both pros and cons on both company.

Intel indeed is the fastest CPU in the world. But they just simply copy AMD Native Quad Core design to make their Core i7.

AMD now is getting bigger as this morning i heard something that AMD is expanding their company name by working with another company and become the world second largest Chip-makers.

AMD is alway's been the choice for hardcore user's
Intel is mostly use in office/school as what i can see.

i think the most power full cpu in the history was the spark, ultra spark, spark II and Alpha from silicon graphics systems (all of this very expensive just run under UNIX Os amd was designed to edit video)

and my comercial selection from old cpu's is Motorola/Ibm Power Pc G5 was the last cpu from IBM/Motorola from Mac computers ^^ still its a very fast cpu many mac servers utill use it

and the new Cpu i love AMD socket F 6 core ^^ AMD Rox

i went to sim lim and buy a desktop, the same type of spec, 2 diff processor, uncle say amd better, more ex, i was like huh? so i dun really noe lol

AMD cheap and power full cpu intel got better performance but its too expensive and the performance % its not too big
