i thought of that too. but i somehow just feel that the black one feels like a fake one that has a workable sdhc with a sticker pasted on it

Different model number perhaps?
Usually different model/model number results in variation in Read/write speeds.
From the picture above, both of them are also class 2 SDHC 8GB cards. read and write speeds might vary, so do the price.
