Autorun Eater was born due to increase of malwares using the 'autorun.inf' tactic to infect users unknowingly be it from flash drives, removable hard disks or any other removable storage device. When an infected device is infected with a malware and an 'autorun.inf' file is dropped, the shell menu is normally modified to execute the malware whenever the unsuspecting user double-clicks the infected drive.
Most anti-malware apps out there will almost instantly remove any malware detected but more often than not they leave the 'autorun.inf' file behind. And what if the anti-malware app fails to catch the malware? Here is when Autorun Eater comes in handy.
Autorun Eater will remove any suspicious 'autorun.inf' files even before the user attempts to access the drive. These files are auto-backup'ed in case of false positives.

I would highly recommend people who are using windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows Vista to install this software.
As most people in this forum are Malaysian, Spreading of virus at Malaysia is high. So installing this will help prevent virus from removable thumb-drives and hard-disk from infecting your PC.

Re: Autorun Eater
Windows 7 do not need Autorun eater because Microsoft has remove the autorun option on removable drive.
Since you are using pirated Windows 7,are you using loader activation? Because Microsoft added Windows Activation Technology to detect hacks. It is recommend that you do not install Windows Activation Technology update to prevent deactivation.

My windows 7 WAS genuine.
Until I downloaded raiden's so-called packet sender.
Now i use a loader and remove WAT.
But an annoying message keeps saying that my OS is not genuine.

You should install back Windows Activation technology.ShiunYean wrote:My windows 7 WAS genuine.

And change your product key with those original OEM keys.
Keys.
If you are using computer which has WIndows 7 Preinstall, you can try to use the correct SLIC file which links to your OEM brand and the OEM-SLP windows 7 keys. It should activate without any problem
I am using Cracked windows 7 with Gigabyte SLIC 2.1 Bios Hard-Mod. Not detected for like 1.5 yrs since last yr August 2010.
