To prevent confusion, 8bit=1byte

If you are using Singnet 1Mbits/s, it means 1024bit.
I am using Singnet 8Mbits/s which means 1024KByte/s = 1MByte = 1024 x 8 = 8192Kbyte/s.

The SI unit for memory is in bits not in bytes.
Only Microsoft use Mbyte not Mbits. Linux you will see it as "Kib".
