Cooler Master Sentinel Advance mouse

Post by zamoth »

Yes, it's finally available on the market. Cooler Master have launched their Sentinel Advance mouse, yeah the one with the cute little OLED screen inside. It's funky, it's new, it's slightly refreshing. The coolest thing has to be the fact that Cooler Master integrated a little OLED screen inside the mouse... and that certainly is a first. So without further ado, let's fire up this review and check out what CoolerMaster has in store for us with the Sentinel Advance mouse.

my wireless mouse use rechargable batiries oso long life bateries its a logitech Mx 700 mouse amn keyboard

The MX700
The MX700 is exactly like the MX500 in every way, but just a little heavier. So we shall just describe the extras here, the docking station, the RF technology used and a few extra bits of information.
Image

The Docking Station
The station doubles as a receiver and a power recharging station and connects to the PC using the USB port, but since it is also a recharging dock, it needs to be powered and does so using a separate six-volt adapter. The maximum range we could use the MX700 for was around 10 feet. But the range is very easily affected by radiation and heat. When we kept the docking station next to the monitor the range fell to less than a foot. But this doesnt happen when the mouse is kept near sources of heat or radiation (it is specifically mentioned that you should keep your docking station away from these sources). Looks wise the docking station is absolutely gorgeous like a throne of power, which it actually is. It also occupied a significant amount of space on our ever shrinking desktop size, but was worth it as there are no more chords attached to the mouse.

Wireless technology
The MX700 uses something called Fast RF. The normal RF or Radio frequency technology used in other mice does around 50 exchanges per second whereas the new RF technology used by Logitech does 125 exchanges a second. This is obviously a huge and significant increase in data being transferred between the device and the receiver. Apparently it is also the maximum transfer possible with USB, so in theory there shouldnt be any difference now between the MX500 and MX700. This is exactly the case; if you use this mouse you will not notice any lagged responses or failure to be accurate.

Extras on the MX700
The MX700 runs on rechargeable batteries, which eventually will have to be replaced. The mouse is also very heavy and since there are no removable weights here, it does cause quite a bit of fatigue for a user who uses a mouse for more than 6 hours in a day.
