1st think u have to know its ur rRam computer speed and if its DDR2 or DDR3

ur computer use DDR2-800 200 MHz 5 ns 400 MHz PC2-6400 (buy Ram with this specs)


change ram modules its very ez

I have used 2600 Pro, x1650, 3200 IGP, 4770, 4850, 5850 etc. with Ubuntu in the past, ATI cards have always been fine in linux for me.
